This past May, the Lake Michigan Stakeholders, http://www.lakemichiganstakeholders.org/,  spring meeting featured a tour of the Paulus Dairy Farm in the Town of Fredonia.

As part of the meeting, Clean Farm Families Chairman, Jim Melichar, presented to the group on the progress and goals of the Clean Farm Families.

The meeting also included a tour presented by Paulus Dairy Farm owners Mike, Lori, Andy, & Tiffany. They did a great job representing the farming community to this group of over 35 DNR representatives and other concerned citizens.

On site was a Bazooka Farm Star low disturbance manure applicator and a Penn State Interseeder Planter was on display as well.

Mike also had an inspector from Baker Cheese available to answer questions about many topics including milk quality.

All in all it was a great job by all presenters and a great representation of farming in the Milwaukee River Watershed.
